  • More people are switching to electric cars – find out how Corwen has set up an electric community car share club
  • Communities in rural Conwy have benefited from an e-bike scheme which reduced car usage & resulted in positive health impacts

  • Plan your journey by public transport using Traveline Cymru
  • The National Cycle Network identifies 1,700 miles of safe & scenic walking and cycling routes in Wales

Ideas to help you on your way

  • Where possible encourage community members to participate in active travel
  • Facilitate a bicycle loaning scheme with community members – why not look into e-bikes too
  • Explore the options for installing electric car charging ports in your community
  • When safe to do so, set up designated car parking spaces in your local area for people to car share

  • Community & Voluntary Support Conwy and Denbighshire Voluntary Services Council provide advice and support on funding opportunities
  • Workplace Charging Scheme – a voucher-based scheme that provides financial support towards the up-front costs of the purchase and installation of electric vehicle charging points
  • Lottery Community Fund – Provides information on community grants available in Wales
  • Funding Cymru – Funding portal helping charities, community groups & social organisations find funding opportunities in their local area
